Golden Predator (CVE:GPD) said Thursday it has expanded gold mineralization at the new Bohemian discovery, part of the Brewery Creek project in the Yukon.

The company has announced the results from the initial five core holes drilled at the Bohemian zone, which was discovered late last year.

Golden Predator said that all five holes intersected significant mineralization, including 31.2 metres of 2.61 g/t gold, beginning at a depth of 49.0 metres in hole BC11-175.

Other notable results include 32.9 metres of 3.01 g/t gold, beginning at a depth of 42.6 metres in hole BC11-176; and 31.0 metres of 2.84 g/t gold from a depth of 54.0 metres in hole BC11-177.

"The remarkable continuity and consistency of these above average grades is impressive," said chairman and CEO William M. Sheriff.

"We have drilled more than 20 holes since the current program started in February, and we look forward to continuing to expand the 2010 discovery at the Bohemian Zone and further to the east at the Schooner Zone as additional results become available."

Drilling at Brewery Creek, which is located 55 kilometres east of Dawson City, has defined a mineralized corridor that has a known strike length in excess of 250 metres, and remains open along both strike directions.

The property was the site of a heap-leach gold mine from 1996 to 2002, when it produced 279,541 ounces of gold. Current resources remaining are 3.98 million indicated tonnes grading 1.135 g/t gold, along with 2.2 million inferred tonnes averaging 2.01 g/t gold.

Golden Predator rallied more than 5.9% on Thursday to trade at $0.89 as of 12:07pm EST.
